Analy rallies to stay perfect

Analy, undefeated and untied this season, found itself trailing 2-0 in the second half against an upset-minded Jaguars squad.

Windsor’s Andres Miranda scored two goals in the first half, giving the Jaguars confidence they could be the first team to pin a loss on the Tigers (19-0 overall, 11-0 SCL) this season.

Raffi Dick gave Analy hope in the second half, soaring over defenders to head in a corner kick that cut the lead to 2-1 with 10 minutes remaining.

Minutes later, Analy set up for a penalty kick, awarded to the Tigers because of pushing and shoving in the box. Windsor’s keeper came up with the monumental save, only to have the attempt called back because of an early jump off the line. Agustin Reyes put the second shot in, shelving it up in the top corner, sending the game to overtime.

“The referee is going to call what he will,” Windsor coach Doug Hastings said after the game.

Analy struck in the second overtime when Dick scored the game-winning goal — his second of the game — outmuscling defenders to poke the ball past the outstretched hands of Windsor’s keeper.
